To become a member of FERN, laboratories must complete the FERN Laboratory Qualification Checklist.

• The checklist includes analytical discipline-specific components (chemical, microbiological, and radiological).
  
  
• Laboratories can request membership for any or all of the analytical disciplines based on their current capabilities.
